UPSC CDS Exam 2019 Notice: The Combined Defense Services examination is conducted by the Union Public Services Commission for recruitment into the Indian Military Academy, Officers Training Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Indian Air Force Academy.  It is conducted biannually and only unmarried graduates are eligible to take up the examination. The armed forces offer exciting career opportunities. The system of selection is rigorous and time-consuming. The assessment is of 3 levels. It is based on filtering out candidates based on their traits like alertness, team management, initiative, analytical ability, physical fitness, judgment etc.,

The UPSC notification for CDS 1, 2 Exam 2019 for the eligible candidates may apply for the exam by the office as per schedule by 6.00 PM. The application form has to be filled and submitted online on the official website on the official website
Examination date:
UPSC will conduct Combined Defense Services Examination on the 19th of November 2017.

Application process:
Candidates need to fill in the application form available on the official website of UPSC.
  • Applicants need to fill in the basic details in Part-1 of the application form.
  • Applicants need to fill in the payment details, choice of examination centre (allotted on first come first serve basis), upload a recent photograph and also upload the signature in Part-2.
  • It is essential to note that there is a ceiling on the number of candidates allowed to take up the exams in particular centres. Hence, it is advisable to apply at the earliest to get the centre of one’s choice.
Note that the last day to submit the application is 8th of September 2017 by 6.00 PM.

Application fee of Rs. 200 is chargeable to all the candidates except for those belonging to the reserved category.
Soon after the declaration of the results of written exams, candidates will be called for the interview by Services Selection Board. The interview will comprise of Psychological test and Intelligence test. The candidates aspiring to join the flying branch of Indian Airforce, Indian Navy, Indian Army and Coast Guard of Indian Armed Forces are required to attend the (PABT) Pilot Based Aptitude Test post the interview. All the successful candidates have to go through the medical test before being posted to their respective services. After successful training, they shall be inducted into the armed forces.
